Tractor-trailer destroyed in fire at Catawba County business

A truck was destroyed in a fire at a Catawba County business yesterday, the business did not sustain major damage as a result of the blaze. The fire occurred at Zenith Freight Lines on Dehart Motor Terminal Road in Conover. The tractor-trailer went up in flames outside of one of the company’s bays shortly after 6:00 yesterday morning. While the business sustained only smoke damage, the truck was a total loss. According to the Conover Fire Department the truck had more than one-million miles on it and was not going to be used much longer anyway. No investigation into the fire is necessary according to the Conover Fire Department. There were no injuries in the fire.
