Caldwell Co. Commissioners Set Busy Agenda for Monday Meeting

The Caldwell Co. Board of Commissioners will meet next Monday (May 6) at 6 p.m.
A period for public comment will be available near the start of the meeting.
Retirees Jack Davis and Sharon Hunt will be recognized by Caldwell County Sheriff Alan Jones. The commissioners will hear proclamations regarding National Police Week and Older Americans Month.
A public hearing will be held regarding an amendment to the agreement for the development, use and operation of the landfill. The board will hear the annual report from Community Child Protection, presented by Wendy Pyle and Dr. George Nichols.
A resolution opposing the state’s closure of the Western Youth Institute will be presented by Stan Kiser and Rusty Dellinger.
The commissioners will consider several budget amendments, none of which require any additional local funding.
Among other items on the agenda are the use of contingency funds, a request to designate a service weapon as surplus, a request to schedule a public hearing regarding an application for rezoning property and revised boundaries for the Collettsville and Gamewell fire districts.
