Homeless Man Charged with Failure to Register as Sex Offender 3/14/2013 2:48:47 PM
22-year-old Thomas Gabriel Rearick, who is listed as a homeless person, has been arrested by Catawba Co. Sheriff’s Officers for failure to register as a sex offender. His sex offender status comes from an October 2009 conviction in Mercer County, Illinois for criminal sexual abuse involving a 15-year-old victim.
Rearick was confined yesterday (March 13) in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $50,000 secured bond. He will appear in Superior Court on March 22 in Newton.
