Two LRU Choirs to Perform on Palm Sunday 3/13/2013 4:52:40 PM
The Lenoir-Rhyne Youth Chorus and the Lenoir-Rhyne University A Cappella Choir will collaborate on Palm Sunday evening when the two choirs lead the greater Hickory community in a choral evening prayer service for Holy Week. The service will be held on March 24 at 7 p.m. at Corinth Reformed Church in Hickory.
The program will feature an anthem performed in memory of the children of Newtown, Connecticut.
The choirs are directed by Paul Weber. Accompanists are Jeana Neal Borman and Freda Herrell. The organist for the service will be Timothy Warren.
The A Cappella Choir will also perform at the Hickory Arts Center on Saturday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at 828-328-7147. The Lenoir-Rhyne Youth Chorus will present its spring concert at the First Baptist Church on Sunday, April 28, at 4 p.m. For information on the Youth Chorus, call 828-328-7195.
