Newton Man Jailed on Felony Drug Charge 2/12/2013 4:48:50 PM
30-year-old David James Hobbs of Sandhurst Road in Newton was arrested by Hickory Police yesterday (February 11) on one felony count of manufacturing a schedule II controlled substance. He was also served outstanding warrants dating back to last year for driving while license revoked and expired registration card or tag.
Hobbs was jailed early this morning in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $50,000 secured bond. A first appearance in District Court was set for tomorrow. Another court date on the vehicular charges was scheduled for March 27.
