Schools Closing Earlier Than Planned (UPDATED FRI. 8:40 a.m.)

There are a number of changes from earlier updates…

CVCC has announced that all campuses and all facilities are closed today as of 9 a.m.

Alexander County Schools:  dismissed at 8:30 a.m.

Students at all Catawba County Schools:  dismissed at 8:45 today.

Hickory Public Schools are closed.

Newton-Conover Schools:  dismissed at 8:45 today.

Burke County Schools are closed.

Caldwell County Schools:  dismissed at 8:30 today.  The make-up day scheduled for Saturday, January 26 has been cancelled, as well.

Lincoln County will release students at ten o’clock today.

Watauga County Schools are closed for students and staff.

Iredell County will release students at eleven o’clock.

St. Stephens Lutheran School will close at 11:30 this morning.

The announcement regarding the Capital Campaign on the campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University originally scheduled for today has been rescheduled to Friday, February 1, at 3 p.m. in front of the Minges Science Building.

The Seniors Morning Out program in Catawba County is closed today.
