Denver Man Accused of Distributing Child Pornography

47-year-old Edward Arthur Peck of Highway 16 North in Denver was arrested last night (January 15) on two felony counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of minor or distribution of materials exploiting a minor.

Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Detective Don Mauldin and Agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at Peck’s residence last night, leading to the seizure of computers and other materials.  Peck is accused of distributing child pornography over the Internet.

He was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $200,000 secured bond.  A first appearance in Lincoln Co. District Court was set for today.

The S.B.I.’s investigation is ongoing.
