Lenoir Man Jailed for Failure to Appear; More

34-year-old Billy Eugene Herald of Lens Price Lane in Lenoir was arrested by Caldwell Co. Sheriff’s Officers yesterday on two counts of failure to appear and one count for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  He also faces a felony possession of methamphetamine charge in Avery County.

Herald has been confined in the Caldwell Co. Detention Center with bond on one of the failure to appear charges set at $5,000, secured, plus a $384 cash compliance bond on the other failure to appear charge.  He was given a custody release on the motor vehicle charge.  A Superior Court date in Lenoir was set for January 28.  A District Court date in Avery County is coming up on February 22.
