Three Charged in Connection to Statesville Home Invasion11/13/2012 3:14:50 PM
20-year-old Patrick Donovan Foster of Phillips Lane in Statesville, 20-year-old Logan Kyle Voris of East Broad Street in Statesville and 23-year-old Amy Elizabeth Ross of North Thomas Lane in Stony Point have all been arrested by Iredell Co. Sheriff’s Officers on charges of first-degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Foster was also charged by Statesville Police with common law robbery.
Events leading to their arrests began just before 9:30 p.m. on October 9 when Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Branchwood Road in response to a home invasion. Deputies learned that the homeowner was at home with her eight-year-old child when an unknown white male kicked her door open and entered the home with a pistol in his hand. The male demanded drugs and forced the female homeowner into various rooms while her son was on the living room floor.
The intruder was wearing clothing to cover most of body and face. A lock box containing prescription drugs was taken.
An investigation identified Foster, Voris and Ross as suspects. They were located and interviewed, and it was learned that all three suspects were living on Serenity Lane in Statesville together at the time of the incident. Ross was identified as the owner of a vehicle that was described by witnesses to the home invasion.
Foster and Voris were arrested on November 6, while Ross was taken into custody the following day. Foster’s bond was set at $20,000, secured. Voris was held under a $10,000 secured bond and Ross was given a $7,500 secured bond. All three have court dates this month in Statesville; Foster on the 14th, Voris on the 19th and Ross on the 28th.
The common law robbery charge against Foster stems from an October 27 arrest in connection to an incident in the Wal-Mart Parking lot. An elderly female had her pocket book stolen and suffered minor injuries as the result of a fall.
