The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team (5-4-2, 2-2-1) pushed its winning streak to four matches with a 4-1 victory over Brevard (1-8-2, 1-4) Saturday night in a South Atlantic Conference contest at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex.
Four different players scored for the Bears as Lenoir-Rhyne took a 3-0 lead entering the break and never looked back.
Sophomore forward Mario Pinos Garcia (Guayaquil, ECUADOR) opened the scoring in the eighth minute after taking advantage of a misplay by the Brevard goalkeeper on a long throw.
Senior midfielder Oliver Worth (Sheffield, ENGLAND) then made it 2-0 in the 31st minute by finishing off a penalty kick for his second goal of the season.
Freshman forward Tobias Tobrant (Boras, SWEDEN) rounded out the scoring for the Bears before intermission with his team-leading sixth goal of the year at the 31:35 mark of the first half.
The two teams traded goals in the second half and Brevard avoided the shutout thanks to Marcelo Betcer (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) with a free kick into the net in the 72nd minute.
L-R junior Stefan Dill (Southampton, BERMUDA) picked up the victory in goal after stopping 10 shots on the night while Jack Shaw (Simpsonville, S.C.) suffered the loss despite making six saves.
Lenoir-Rhyne plays Mars Hill on the road in a South Atlantic Conference match on Wednesday beginning at 7pm.
