Two Face Felony Cocaine Charges in Iredell County

61-year-old David Joseph Jenkins of Triplett Road in Cleveland, N.C. and 55-year-old Ernest William Holland of Independence Loop in Statesville have both been arrested by Detectives with the Iredell Co. Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division for distribution of crack cocaine.

Their arrests were the result of a month-long investigation that began when Detectives received information on the two individuals and were able to infiltrate their organization.  Detectives made several purchases from the two men, totaling approximately 30 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $12,000.

Also seized were approximately $1,831 in cash and five grams of marijuana.

Both subjects were arrested and charged with conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, trafficking in cocaine and possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine.  They were taken before a Magistrate where bond for each was set at $100,000, secured.   Jenkins and Holland are scheduled to appear in District Court on September 17.
