A home belonging to a 47-year-old man at 2058 Startown Road, Newton, was burglarized sometime between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m. yesterday when a suspect or suspects unknown entered the house and removed a long list of items, including:  a 32” flat-screen TV, a six-disc DVD changer, a cordless drill with two batteries, a small toolbox with assorted hand tools, a digital camera, a digital camcorder, a blue lockbox, a man’s silver ring with a wolf’s head emblem, a roll of assorted U.S. coins, 75 assorted DVDs, three bottles of liquor, two pool cues and a bag containing an assortment of photographs.  Estimated value of the items taken is $5,270.

The Catawba Co. Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
