Ben Gibbs of BB&T is serving as the 2010 March for Babies Chairman in Catawba County.  Gibbs currently holds the position of Vice President, Business Services Officer - Portfolio Manager, Team Leader for BB&T, serving Hickory and Boone.  He has worked with BB&T for 22 years and has lived in Catawba County with his wife, Lee, and three children for 16 years.

Gibbs has been involved with a number of other organizations, including the United Way, YMCA, SALT Block, Boy Scouts, Corinth Reformed Church and the Chamber of Commerce.  He was also recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow with the Hickory Rotary Club.

The Catawba County March for Babies event will take place on Saturday, May 1 at Hickory High School, with a March for Babies Kickoff event to be held Friday, February 12, at 12:00 p.m. at Catawba Valley Medical Center in the AHEC Building.  To reserve space at the Kickoff, call the March of Dimes Foothills Division at 828-464-8905.
