Setzer steps down at West Caldwell, Deal to be named head football coach at Patton

West Caldwell head football coach Mike Setzer has stepped down from the position with the Warriors, citing family reasons. Setzer, a West Caldwell grad, spent two seasons as head coach of the Warriors, going 1-19. A search for his replacement is underway.

Meanwhile in Burke County, Patton High School is expected to name Chris Deal their second head football coach. He will take over for J.K. Atkins. Deal was head coach of the Alexander Cougars before leaving three seasons ago for Lexington.
