COVID-19 Update: 76 New Cases Friday In Hickory Metro, All Four Counties Report New Infections

23 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Friday (July 10) by Catawba County Public Health. The overall total increased to 1,132, with 14 deaths. Seventeen COVID-19 cases were reported today in Caldwell County, increasing the overall total to 591, with six deaths. 340 patients had recovered and there were 16 patients hospitalized in Caldwell County with the coronavirus. One additional case of COVID-19 was reported at Brockford Inn Assisted Living. The total number of cases at the facility now stands at 61, (42 residents and 19 employees).  

31 new cases of COVID-19 were added Friday in Burke County, the county's dashboard showed a total of 1,164 cases, with 21 deaths. There were seven people hospitalized and 875 coronavirus patients had recovered. Five new COVID-19 infections were confirmed Friday in Alexander County, increasing the overall total to 155 with one death. Two people were hospitalized in Alexander County.
