39-year-old Bo Lucas Hicks and 56-year-old Elisa Killian Robertson, who are both listed as homeless persons from Hickory, were arrested by Hickory Police shortly after ten o'clock Friday night (July 3). Hicks was charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and Robertson was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Both suspects were charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were arrested when Hickory Police Officers on foot patrol at a hotel on Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard S.E. noticed the odor of marijuana coming from one of the rooms. After making contact with the room's occupants, Officers found 5.2 grams of marijuana, 0.7 grams of methamphetamine, and six grams of M.D.M.A. (ecstasy). Two of the four occupants were arrested without incident at the hotel.
Hicks and Robertson were both jailed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond for each set at $5,000, secured. They were scheduled to make first appearances in District Court yesterday (July 6) in Newton.
