27-year-old Krista Brooke Roderick of Dallas, NC, was arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff's Officers. She's charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin, possession of Schedule III, IV and VI controlled substances, maintaining a vehicle for narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation.
According to a news release issued Monday (January 13), Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators assisted North Carolina Probation and Parole with Roderick's arrest last Thursday (January 9). The arrest was made as the suspect arrived at a residence on Rhodes Rhyne Road in Lincolnton.
When investigators and probation officers initially arrived at the home they encountered multiple subjects but not Roderick, the person they were looking for. Investigators were told that she was on her way to the residence to meet them. Some probation officers and narcotics investigators remained hidden on the scene and awaited the arrival of the suspect. A short time later she pulled into the driveway and investigators removed her from the vehicle. At that time, officers reportedly spotted drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
A Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics K-9 alerted officers to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. A search reportedly resulted in the discovery of 12 grams of meth, heroin, various pills, marijuana, glass pipes, syringes, and several sets of digital scales.
Roderick was being held in the Cleveland County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond on a felony probation violation charge. She has a Cleveland County Superior Court date February 10. No Lincoln County court dates were listed.
