19-year-old Jaiden Andrew Sloan of NW 21st Avenue in Hickory was arrested today (January 13) by Catawba County Sheriff's Officers. He was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver marijuana and schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of manufacturing, selling, or delivering controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of a concealed firearm.
Sloan was also served with outstanding warrants for simple possession of schedule II and schedule IV controlled substance and possession of a concealed firearm. He was arrested following a traffic stop on Springs Road this morning at approximately 12:45. Sloan, who was initially stopped for displaying an expired registration, was reportedly found to be in possession of felonious amounts of marijuana and Xanax. Sloan was also found to be in possession of a concealed firearm.
Following the arrest, Sloan was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $22,500.00 secured bond. District Court appearances were scheduled for today and January 27.
