Detectives Investigate Thefty of Catalytic Converters in Lincoln County

Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating a number of cases in which catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles parked in business and church parking lots.

Most of the thefts occurred during the early morning hours of November 18 and involved a white van and two individuals wearing heavy clothing. Catalytic converters were cut from vehicles at the Denver Industrial Park on Denver Industrial Park Road and the Lakeside Church of God on Pine Ridge Road, both in Denver, N.C. A catalytic converter was also stolen from a church van at Pearl Baptist Church on Highway 27 in Iron Station.
