Veterans Day Ceremony Set for 10 a.m. Tomorrow in Granite Falls

The Town of Granite Falls will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. tomorrow (November 8) in the gym at the Granite Falls Recreation Center, 56 Pinewood Road. The ceremony will honor all Veterans, including those whose names have been inscribed on the memorial wall since the wall was dedicated last year. Anyone wishing to honor Veterans is welcome to attend. Among those scheduled to speak at the event is Army National Guard Captain Michael D. Isenhour II, who is the husband of WHKY Station Manager Heather Isenhour.

The town will continue to accept applications for name inscriptions on the monument. Applications will be accepted through July 31 each year for the annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Applications are available at the town office or at the town's website, www.granitefallsnc.com/veterans.
