Maiden Grows By More Than 200 Acres, Apple To Grow As A Result

The annexation of new property into Maiden will allow for the growth of a major industry. According to a news release issued today (October 9), Maiden Town Council approved the annexation of 260 acres into the Town at the September 9 meeting. The acreage, directly adjacent to and owned by Apple Inc., will allow Apple to grow their data center operations.

Max Bumgarner, Jr., Mayor Pro Tem, said in the news release, “Apple’s contributions to the Town of Maiden started out almost ten years ago, and this annexation will provide the opportunity for them to grow. The citizens of Maiden have benefited from a new taxpayer and the upgrade in facilities we have been able to develop in the last ten years, and we look forward to continued growth in the coming ten years.”
