Contractors will be installing a new water line on South Sterling Street in Morganton at the entrance of Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge next week. This work will be performed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (September 16-19). Traffic patterns will be affected by the work.
Only one lane of South Sterling Street at the hospital entrance will be closed at a time while contractors work to install the new water line. Lane closure signage will be posted for motorists approaching the work zone, and Morganton Public Safety officers will be at the work site to direct traffic.
Motorists are asked to use caution when approaching the hospital entrance on South Sterling Street where the water line is being installed. Once the work is completed Thursday, traffic patterns will return to normal.
