The N.C. State Highway Patrol is on the scene of a hit & run fatality this morning (August 18) in the vicinity of Interstate 40 and Highway 321 at Exit 123 in Hickory. The victim’s body was found at about 7 a.m. today.
Traffic flow has been disrupted in the area. Motorists should consider using alternate routes.
Hickory Police say the Highway Patrol issued a “be on the lookout” call for a gray Honda Civic, approximately a 2000 model. A bumper was reportedly found on the scene. The vehicle would have damage to the front end and possibly the to the left side.
