15-year-old Myra Paszek had been found. Granite Falls Police say she was found safe at about 7 p.m. yesterday (August 14) in Caldwell County. Ms. Paszek had been reported as a runaway early Tuesday morning after she left her grandmother’s residence on Mallard Court.
Police say the teenager was evaluated by Caldwell Co. Emergency Medical Services. She is healthy and was reunited with her family yesterday. Authorities had been concerned for the girl’s health, as she did not take her seizure medication with her when she left.
A statement released by the Granite Falls Police Department thanked the community at large for their calls, information sharing and assistance in bringing Ms. Paszek home to her parents. The statement also recognized the department’s Patrol Officers and Detectives for their hard work and tireless efforts to locate Ms. Paszek.
The case remains under investigation.
