Morganton Man Charged With Meth Trafficking Following Caldwell Co. Investigation

54-year-old Ger Love Lee of Piney Road in Morganton was arrested Wednesday (August 21) by Caldwell County Sheriff's Officers. He's charged with felony counts of trafficking in methamphetamine by transportation and trafficking in meth by possession.

The arrest was made at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday following a three-month investigation by the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office ICE Unit and Lenoir Police Department Narcotics Division. Lee was apprehended in an undercover sting when he allegedly agreed to sell three ounces of meth to an undercover officer. After the agent met with Lee and confirmed he had the drugs, Lee was taken into custody.

The total amount of meth seized during the investigation was 290.9 grams with a street value of $43,635. Lee was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under $200,000 secured bond. A District Court date is scheduled Friday (August 23). More charges are expected in this case.
