26-year-old Brandon Charles O’Keefe of Houston Mill Road in Conover has been arrested by Catawba Co. Sheriff's Officers on charges of possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no operator’s license.
At about 8:20 a.m. Saturday (August 10), Catawba County Deputies patrolling the Bethany Church Road area in Claremont saw a vehicle without a registration plate. Deputies stopped the vehicle. The driver was identified as Brandon O’Keefe.
During the investigation, O’Keefe told Officers he had a meth pipe and methamphetamine on his person. Deputies found the meth pipe and four bags containing 10.4 grams of meth. Digital scales and two firearms were also found in the vehicle.
A male from Denver, N.C. was cited for failure to register the vehicle.
O’Keefe was arrested and placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $5,000 secured bond. He'll appear in District Court on August 30 in Newton.
