Update: Names Released In Case Involving Three Shooting Deaths In Hickory

Three people were reportedly killed in a domestic incident in Hickory. On Monday (August 12) shortly after 9:00 p.m., Hickory Police Officers responded to an address on 17th Avenue NE in reference to reports of a woman lying in the yard injured as a result of a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers found 32-year-old Roxanne Auton Mitchem deceased in the yard.

Officers were notified that a second victim; 32-year-old Dorrian Doral Pearson had fled from the residence on foot and was located at an address on 16th Avenue NE. He was suffering from injuries as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. Pearson was transported by paramedics to a local hospital was being treated for his injuries.

Officers were informed of possible additional victims inside an apartment at the address on 17th Avenue NE. They found 34-year old Jessica Rose Fowler deceased as a result of a gunshot wound and her estranged husband, 37-year-old David Christopher Covington deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Two small children were inside the home at the time of the incident, but were not injured.
