39-year-old Jason Antonio Lytle of Morganton was arrested Sunday (August 4) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. He's charged with felony counts of breaking and entering with intent to commit felony larceny, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods. Lytle is also charged with misdemeanor injury to real property.
Saturday (August 3) at 4:43 a.m., officers with the Morganton Department of Public Safety were dispatched to alarm call at Premiere Studio at 101 Lenoir Street. When Officers arrived they found a broken window at the rear of the business. The suspect entered the business through the broken window and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the area prior to officers arriving at the scene.
On Sunday, at 11:32 p.m., an officer spotted a man matching the description of the suspect from this case in the area of Burger King on South Sterling Street. During the investigation of the man, the shirt worn during the break-in was found in the possession of this individual. He was identified as Jason Antonio Lytle.
Following the arrest, Lytle was placed in the Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under a $10,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in District Court in Morganton Tuesday (August 6).
