Reported Armed Robbery At Domino's Under Investigation

A robbery at a Domino's Pizza in Newton is currently under investigation. This morning (June 12) shortly before 1:30, the The Newton Police Department responded to Domino’s at 2392 West NC 10 Highway, in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers were told that a delivery driver was exiting the business when he was approached by two armed suspects who forced him back inside the store.

Once inside the store, the delivery driver was forced to the floor while the suspects encountered the store manager who was in the office. They forced the store manager to open the safe, but there was no money inside. The manager was then forced back to the office where the cash drawer and bank bags were found.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the office and left the business. Upon arrival officers began a search of the area but were unable to find the suspects. They were described as two men wearing Nike hoodies, masks and gloves. Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact Lt.
