38-year-old Jerry Lee Lippard III of Desiree Drive in Statesville, 33-year-old Breanna Frances Oliver of Regatta Lane in Mooresville, and 34-year-old Michael Joseph Gamboa of Carriage Drive in Charlotte have all been arrested by Iredell Co. Sheriff's Officers. Lippard and Oliver were each charged with felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine by possession and by transport, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell & deliver meth, and possession with intent to sell & deliver a schedule III controlled substance (buprenorphine). In addition, Lippard was charged with felony maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked. Gamboa faces one felony count of possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Sunday (June 8), Officers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 77 northbound at the mile-marker 49 for a traffic violation. Deputies saw three people in the vehicle. They asked the driver, Jerry Lee Lippard III, to step out of the vehicle. A search of Lippard's person turned up marijuana and buprenorphine. Deputies then searched the vehicle and found over 30 grams of crystal meth and drug paraphernalia.
The passengers, Oliver and Gamboa, were searched. Oliver was in possession of over 40 grams of meth, along with several buprenorphine pills and strips. Gamboa was found to be in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Deputies also learned that Oliver had outstanding warrants for removing her G.P.S. ankle monitoring device, which was required as part of her probation.
All three suspects were taken into custody and placed in the Iredell Co. Detention Center. Bond for Lippard was set at $250,000, secured, while Oliver was given a $255,000 secured bond. Bond for Gamboa was set at $5,000, secured. Lippard has court dates on June 24, July 18 & 23, and August 5. Oliver is due in court on June 26. Gamboa made a first appearance yesterday (June 10) with no additional court dates listed.
