25-year-old Jessie Barnes, originally from Texas, was arrested Monday (June 10) by Alexander County Sheriff's Officers. He's charged on a federal detainer with felony probation violation for transporting aliens across the border.
Monday, at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, Taylorsville Police Department, and United States Marshals Service, responded to an apartment complex in Taylorsville in reference to a person wanted by the United States Marshal Service out of Texas. Officers found Jessie Barnes and he was taken into custody on a warrant that was issued on May 30.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Barnes went on the run after that warrant was issued. He was jailed in the Alexander County Detention Center under no bond. He is awaiting transport by the United States Marshals Service to Texas.
