Hickory Man Arrested for Two Felony Probation Violations

41-year-old Jason Shea Ali of 8th Street N.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police at about 5:20 p.m. yesterday (May 15) for two felony probation violations. Ali is on probation as he serves a 36-month suspended sentence following a March 2019 felony conviction in Caldwell County for speeding to elude arrest and possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He is also serving a 24-month suspended sentence following another felony conviction in March of this year in Burke County for possession of a firearm by a felon and maintaining a place for a controlled substance. Ali had been listed as an absconder from probation.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident at his residence. He was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond set at $40,000, secured. Ali will appear in Superior Court on June 3 in Lenoir.
