Hickory Man Arrested in Connection to "Shots Fired" Call

33-year-old Dominic Sharel Adams of G.W. Carson Road in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police at about 7:10 last night (May 14) on one felony count of discharging a firearm into occupied property and one misdemeanor count of communicating threats.

He was arrested in connection to an incident yesterday in which Officers responded to a "shots fired" call at an address on 20th Street N.E. in Hickory. Adams was identified as the shooter and warrants for his arrest were issued. No injuries were reported.

Adams was taken into custody without incident at a convenience store on South Center Street. He was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond set at $20,500, secured. He has since been released. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton.
