Barlow was charged with one felony count of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling to store a controlled substance.
The arrests followed a three-month investigation of a suspect believed to be a heroin trafficker. The suspects were charged after a search of their apartment was conducted by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers last Friday. The search warrant was issued after several controlled purchases of drugs were made from Morgan.
Agencies assisting in the investigation were the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Lenoir Police Department, and Granite Falls Police Department. Agents searched the home and found more than $5,000 in cash, two firearms, and approximately five grams of heroin and a small amount of marijuana.
During the investigation a total of 33 grams of heroin was seized from Morgan with a street value of $19,800. There is another heroin trafficking case against Morgan from July, 2018, which is currently pending in court. Agents are seeking a bond revocation in that case.
