37-year-old Jamie Todd Miller of Duke Power Road in Granite Falls was arrested by Hickory Police at 11:25 a.m. yesterday (April 11) for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny. He was also served bills of indictment out of Caldwell County on two counts each of breaking & entering, larceny after breaking & entering, and possession of stolen goods or property. In addition, he was served an indictment on two counts as an habitual felon.
He was arrested in connection to an incident on March 25 of this year when Officers responded to a business on Highway 70 S.W. in reference to a stolen vehicle. Yesterday, Officers saw the vehicle in the parking lot at a gaming establishment on Highway 70 S.W. Officers saw a man get into the vehicle. As he attempted to leave, Police stopped the vehicle and took Jamie Todd Miller into custody.
Miller was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond set at $42,000. He was scheduled to make a first appearance in District Court today in Newton. Miller will also appear in Superior Court in Lenoir on July 22.
