29-year-old Nou Long Yang of George Hildebran School Road in Hickory was arrested by Burke County Sheriff's Officers. He's charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine. Yang is also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a news release issued Thursday (March 14), on February 28, 2019, officers with the NC Probation and Parole Office initiated an investigation at an address on George Hildebran School Road and requested assistance from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives.
Officers made contact with Nou Long Yang who is currently on supervised probation for a felony hit and run with injury. Following a search of the residence, methamphetamine, cocaine and drug paraphernalia were seized. Yang was arrested and charged at the magistrate office by narcotics detectives.
He was detained in the Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under $9,000 secured bond. He was no longer listed as an inmate in Burke County. A District Court date is scheduled for March 25.
