49-year-old Phillip Todd Stroud of Highway 901 West in Harmony was arrested today (March 14) by Iredell County Sheriff's Officers. He's charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering and one count of felony larceny after breaking and entering.
Between September and today (March 14) the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received two reports of break-ins that occurred at a beauty salon on Sandy Springs Road in Harmony.
The Road Patrol Deputies were given information about this business being a repeated target for break-ins. Because of this information patrol deputies with the Sheriff’s Office conducted additional security checks at this location.
Today at approximately 12:55 a.m., deputies noticed a vehicle at this business, and saw the front window broken out. Deputies then searched the business, and saw the suspect, Stroud, inside the beauty salon. He was arrested and taken to the Sheriff’s Office for questioning. Based on evidence collected from the business after each break-in Stroud was charged with the four felony counts.
Stroud was convicted in connection to an incident in April, 2010 in which a woman was robbed at knifepoint at a hair salon in Davie County. He also threatened to kill the woman. Bond for Stroud on these charges was set at $5,000 secured. No court date was listed.
