44-year-old Richard Robert Paul Pack of 1st Avenue S.W. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police early Sunday morning (February 24) on one felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Pack was arrested after Police saw a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot at an arcade on Springs Road N.E. During the incident, Officers found 0.8 grams of methamphetamine, 2.6 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Pack was taken into custody without incident shortly before 2 a.m. at the scene. The suspect was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond set at $5,000, secured. He was scheduled to make a fist appearance in District Court yesterday (February 25) with his next court date coming up on March 18 in Newton.
