Three people were sent to the hospital as a result of a motor vehicle crash in Lenoir. On Wednesday (February 13) at 9:03 a.m. the Lenoir Police Department responded to the intersection of Hibriten Drive and McLean Drive Extension.
According to Lenoir Police reports, 84-year-old Joseph Henry Wilson of Lenoir was driving his 2018 GMC pickup on Hibriten Drive. Wilson turned left at the McLean Drive Extension intersection to continue on Hibriten Drive and collided with a 1988 Oldsmobile driven by 67-year-old Kenneth Raymond Brown of Lenoir.
Brown was flown by helicopter to Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte with life threatening injuries. As of the last update, Brown was listed in critical condition. Wilson was transported to Caldwell UNC Healthcare where he was treated and released. A passenger, Martha Craig, was traveling with Brown, and was also transported to Caldwell UNC Healthcare with non-life threatening injuries. Craig was listed as being in stable condition.
The Lenoir Police Department is continuing their investigation into the crash.
