Hickory Man Jailed for Failure to Appear on Habitual Larceny Charge

36-year-old Johnny Tyrone Banks of 5th Street N.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police shortly after eleven o'clock last night (February 6) on one felony count of failure to appear. Banks allegedly failed to appear in court on a habitual larceny charge dating back to August of last year.

Banks was taken into custody without incident on the 1,600 block of 2nd Avenue N.W. in Hickory. He was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $2,500 secured bond. An appearance in District Court was set for March 28 in Newton.
