Newton Man Arrested On Felony Break-in Charge

27-year-old Christopher Cole Cox of West 19th Street in Newton was arrested today (February 6) by Newton Police Officers. He's charged with felony breaking and entering with intent to terrorize or injure. In addition, Cox is charged with two misdemeanor counts of communicating threats, and single misdemeanor counts of simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, simple assault, and resisting a public officer. Cox was detained in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $12,000 bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled for Thursday (February 7).
