59-year-old Ruth Smith Tevepaugh of Mill Race Road in Morganton has been arrested by Burke Co. Sheriff's Officers on one felony count each of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine, plus one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested and jailed in the Burke/Catawba District Confinement Facility. Tevepaugh received a $40,000 secured bond and the male suspect was given a $2,000 secured bond. Tevepaugh will next appear in District Court on March 11. She has Superior Court dates on unrelated meth charges and a felony probation violation coming up on February 18 and March 4. The male suspect will appear in District Court on March 4.
