Fire at District Attorney's House Under Investigation

Authorities are reportedly investigating an early-morning fire today (January 24) at District Attorney Scott Reilly's residence in Conover. Agents with the Catawba Co. Fire Marshal’s Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives are among those investigating the fire.

Though only in the early stages of the investigation, authorities say the fire appears to be accidental. No further information is currently available.

Mr. Reilly is the District Attorney for North Carolina’s 36th Prosecutorial District, which includes Catawba, Burke and Caldwell counties.
