24-year-old Taylor Denise Weston of VFW Road in Morganton and 21-year-old Emillio Jesus Villarreal of Huntdale Road in Burnsville were both arrested by Burke County Sheriff's Officers. They're each charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, along with misdemeanor counts of simple possession of schedule II and IV controlled substance. Weston is also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and Villarreal is charged with misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun.
According to a news release issued Thursday (January 10), On December 26, 2018, Burke County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Clay Street in Morganton. The caller advised there was a man that was threatening people with a firearm. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with individuals in a vehicle who were identified as a Taylor Denise Weston and Emillio Jesus Villarreal. Following an investigation, Villarreal and Weston were arrested and charged.
Villarreal received an $11,000 secured bond and Weston received a $5,500.00 secured bond. Weston and Villarreal were transported to the Burke/Catawba District Confinement Facility. Villarreal remained in jail as of today (January 11), bond is now listed at $13,000 secured. Weston was no longer listed as an inmate. They were both scheduled to appear in District Court today.
