Taylorsville Man Arrested in Hickory for Possession of Meth

40-year-old Roger Dale Wyatt of Oakwood Road in Taylorsville was arrested by Hickory Police early this morning (November 8) on one felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and one misdemeanor count of possession a schedule VI controlled substance (up to half an ounce of marijuana). He was also charged with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wyatt was taken into custody without incident at about 3:50 a.m. today at a convenience store on North Center Street in Hickory. He was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond set at $7,000, secured. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled tomorrow in Newton.
