48-year-old Allen Lee Henson of Laurel Creek Street in Connelly Springs was arrested last Tuesday (September 4) by Burke County Sheriff's Officers. He's charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, with that substance being methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a news release issued Thursday (September 13), last Tuesday, detectives with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office assisted North Carolina Probation and Parole with a residential check. The residence being checked was Allen Lee Henson’s at 4921 Laurel Creek Street in Connelly Springs. Henson is on probation for a 2016 meth conviction.
During the search, Probation Officers found multiple plastic bags containing meth and drug paraphernalia. Following the search, Henson was arrested on the drug charges. He was placed in the Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under $3,000 secured bond. He was not listed as an inmate as of today (September 14). A District Court appearance is scheduled for September 26.
