30-year-old Colby Ray Williams of Flay Road in Lincolnton has been arrested by Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Officers on one felony count each of possession or distribution of methamphetamine precursors and manufacturing a schedule II controlled substance.
Narcotics Investigators, following up on a tip from the drug tip line, went to an area on the 4600 block of Flay Road around 10:20 a.m. Monday (June 23) where they discovered the remains of five one-pot meth labs and precursors.
The evidence recovered at the scene led Officers to charge Williams. He had in his possession Coleman fuel, lye, cold compress, lithium batteries and pseudoephedrine, all precursors in the manufacture of meth.
Williams was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center without bond. He was scheduled to make first court appearance yesterday (June 24) with his next court date set for July 15.
The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are possible. It was the fifth meth lab found in Lincoln County during 2014.
The drug tip line number in Lincoln County is 704-736-8422. All tips will be investigated.
