32-year-old Philip Joseph Harrison of Miller Bridge Road in Connelly Springs, 36-year-old Anthony Edward Deyton of Whitener Drive in Hickory and 30-year-old Tiffany Leann Massey of Smith Street in Valdese were all arrested by Hickory Police early this morning (August 9). Harrison was charged with one felony count each of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance and trafficking in methamphetamine. Deyton faces one felony count of failure to appear on an out-of-county probation violation and Massey was charged with one felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Harrison and Massey were also charged one misdemeanor count each for possession of drug paraphernalia.
The three were taken into custody without incident at about 1:25 a.m. today at a billiard parlor on Highway 70 S.W. in Hickory. According to H.P.D.’s arrest reports, Harrison was in possession of 37.4 grams of meth and Massey had 0.6 grams of meth at the time of their arrests. All three suspects were all jailed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility. Bond for Harrison was set at $125,000, secured. Deyton was given a $30,000 secured bond and Massey was held under a $6,000 secured bond. Harrison and Massey were both due in District Court today, while Deyton has a Superior Court date scheduled for September 17.
