31-year-old Rex Allan Eversole of U.S. 70 West in Morganton was arrested last Thursday (August 2) by Burke County Sheriff's Officers. He's charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a news release issued Wednesday (August 8), last Thursday officers with North Carolina Probation and Parole, along with detectives from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division conducted an investigation at 2313 U.S. Highway 70 West in Morganton regarding stolen property and possible drug activity.
Officers made contact with Rex Allan Eversole at the residence. Eversole is currently on probation in Burke County. During the investigation, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were seized and Eversole was placed under arrest. He was detained in the Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under $25,000 secured bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled for August 27.
