35-year-old Travis Ross Hedrick and 27-year-old Lauren Francis Hedrick, both of the same Log Cabin Road, Statesville address, were arrested Wednesday (January 10) by Iredell County Sheriff's Officers. Travis Hedrick is charged with felony possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of schedule III controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Lauren Hedrick is charged with failure to appear.
On Wednesday, Deputy Kris Robbins with the Warrant Squad went to 217 Log Cabin Road, in eastern Iredell County, and attempted to serve an arrest warrant on a female who lives there. Deputy Robbins walked to the front door of the home, while doing so he observed two individuals at the other end of the residence. Deputy Robbins noticed a very strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the home.
Robbins knocked on the front door and a man answered the door, the odor of marijuana became even stronger once the door was opened. The man was identified as Travis Ross Hedrick. When asked if Lauren Hedrick was in the home, Travis became extremely nervous and asked Deputy Robbins to come in.
When asked about the marijuana order, Hedrick admitted he had just smoked marijuana and took Deputy Robbins to a room inside the home where Hedrick showed the deputy a large amount of marijuana. Deputy Robbins called for assistance with searching the home and members of the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team joined him in searching the residence.
In all, 5.5 ounces of marijuana, 6.8 ounces of marijuana “Wax’, 50 milliliters of THC Liquid and four Subutex pills, and numerous pipes and other smoking paraphernalia were located in the residence. All of the evidence was seized and taken to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office where it was placed into evidence.
Travis Hedrick was given a $1000 secured bond, he has District Court dates February 1 and March 19. Lauren Hedrick's bond was set at $500 unsecured, she has a District Court appearance scheduled for February 9.
